Description
The 1767 is the first pattern of the famous briquet sword which equipped French grenadiers, light infantry soldiers as well as musicians and line infantry sergeants. This pattern was of course used during the French Revolution, but also by French troops serving in the American Revolution. Dimensions: 23.5″ Blade, 29″ Overall
Condition report:
Good condition. There are no visible markings left, but the blade is in good shape, as is the hilt which shows a deep patina. The whole assembly is quite solid with no rattle.
