Antique Napoleonic infantry Briquet sword, early 19th century. Compact, sturdy, and unmistakable with its ribbed brass hilt, the French saber-briquet armed generations of infantry and artillery in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Standardized under the Revolutionary and Napoleonic regimes, it offered a reliable sidearm for close quarters, camp chores, and battlefield finishing strokes. Serial number 2084. Good used condition consistent with age, no scabbard. Assembly rattles.
