Description
Huge and heavy antique 17th-century German goosewing axe, attributed as a battle axe. Hand-forged iron head with an exceptionally broad flaring blade and long cutting edge, embellished with distinctive punched crescent and floral/rosette motifs. Retains a dark, naturally aged patina with oxidation, forge marks, and wear consistent with age and use.
