Description
19th Century French heavy cavalry saber model of 1822 manufactured in 1877 for use during the Franco-Prussian wars. The sword has the traditional leather with wire wrapping on the grip, a brass guard with serial number 2142. The blade has the manufacturer’s marking and date 1877 with the original steel scabbard. Dimensions: 36″ Blade, 42.5″ Overall

Very good condition with very nice patina and good marking on the brass, blade has no pitting or rust
