Framed oil on canvas of Cuttyhunk Island, Massachusetts, signed in 1975 by Stephen Henkel, depicting a village with road leading to the beach. Stephen C. He frequently contributed to Wooden Boat magazine, wrote foundational books like “Boating For Less” and was deeply familiar with New England sailing hubs. While he is primarily recognized for his technical drafting, line drawings, and literature rather than fine art oil paintings, his deep roots in the coastal Massachusetts sailing community tie him directly to regions like Cuttyhunk (part of the Elizabeth Islands).
