Description
Framed ink on paper drawings of two gentlemen and a single gentleman on reverse by Thomas Sully. Thomas Sully was a teacher at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and became one of the foremost early 19th-century portrait painters. Provenance: Displayed at the Deerfield Academy (von Auersperg Art Gallery). This drawing was gifted by Charles Russell (Cousin to Charles French of the Lincoln Memorial) to his daughters and then to the Deerfield Academy. Dimensions: 8.5″ x 11″ Image size, 16″ x 18″ Overall
