Description
Rare circa 1770 officer /hunting silver mount sword by C. Chousco (See Petersen’s “The American Sword” p 17 in American Silver Mounted Swords). The sword has a horn grip, silver flat pommel with initials of owner (J A). Chouso worked in the Hudson Valley around 1750-1780. One of his hunting swords was owned by General Artemis Ward, an exact replica of this one. Dimensions: 23″ Blade L, 27.5″ Overall
