Description
Best resource book of New Hampshire in the Civil War. A thick folio of 1347 pages, published be State Adjutant General Ayling. The best source for individual soldier’s records as well as a complete record of the 18 regiments as well as the Sharp Shooters units, the colored soldiers, and the Lafayette Guard. AG Ayling was able to obtain the records from the Navy Department of all the New Hampshire sailors who served in the Civil War, making this among the most complete of all the state histories of what they called the War of the Rebellion. A near fine copy of a book that frequently has severe wear or cracked hinges.
