Description
WWI veteran Arthur Patton, who served the duration of the war with the 25th Battalion, Nova Scotia Rifles, fought in several battles to include the Somme, Vimy Ridge, Passchendaele and Cambrai. Included in the lot are his metals and an Album owned by his sister Nurse Mary Patton who also served in France and treated Arthur when he as wounded. Album has several drawings by wounded soldiers including a great depiction of the Battle of Somme. Metals include the 1914-15 Star, British War and the Victory metal as well as 25th Battalion insignia and belt buckle and belt. Also included is a letter describing the Canadian hospitals with the three Patton sisters serving wounded soldiers.
