Reverse painting on glass (Eglomise) of Washington done in Germany for export to America. Along with a delightful colorful folk art rendering of Washington, note the Society of Cincinnati medallion that hangs just below his lapels! These reverse paintings on glass have been misattributed for years. They were done in Germany. Date: 1820s Framed dimensions: 30" x 25"
Condition: Great condition: original glass, original frame, original backboard.
