This volume contains an exact reproduction of the 71 issues of the stars and stripes, the weekly newspaper published in France by and for the American expeditionary forces during the period of Feb 8 1918-June 13 1919. The paper was started at Neuf Chateau, Haute Marn, France, on orders from General Pershing.
