Description
Early 19th century Connecticut tall case clock with a shaped crest, 8 day brass works, in a case featuring beautifully grained mahogany veneers, fluted quarter columns supported by original full height French feet. The skillfully hand painted bright colorful signed dial indicates that the clock was made by I. Keeler who is listed as a silversmith in Norwalk. It is the only known signed clock made by him. The Keeler family was one of the founding fathers of Norwalk, CT. Dimensions:98" Height, 13" Dial.
Condition: Excellent condition with slight warp on door. Runs well. Finials are replaced with period/1850s.
