A signed James McNeill Whistler painting of a women (Nurse Graham) near a window bought by John W. P. Frost during WWII in Chelmsford, England, after the estate was bombed. James Abbott McNeill Whistler (1834 – 1903) was active/lived in Massachusetts, England and France–although he lived primarily in England. James Whistler is known for landscape, and portrait paintings. Nurse Graham maybe related to William Graham who was an American landscape painter and close friend of Whistler. Original frame. Dimensions: Image 9.5" x 11.5", Overall 18" x 20"
Condition: Very good condition, examined under black light.
