18th century Queen Anne maple armchair with oxbow crest rail with notched carving above a vasiform splat and molded stiles joining outward scrolling arms with ram’s-horn terminals. The rush seat is raised on frontal blocked and vase-turned legs joined by bulbous stretcher ending in Spanish feet. See Richard H. Randell Jr "American Furniture in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston".
