Description
18th Century Chippendale maple Dunlap School slant lid desk with dovetailed constructed case, fall front lid covering double step interior of pigeon holes, fan carved center door, two fluted document drawers, arrangement of 7 small drawers, 4 graduated case drawers including a simulated fan carved lower drawer, old brass but not original, ending in bracket feet with scrolled apron. Desk is pictured in "Dunlaps and Their Furniture" illustration # 73. Attributed to Robert Dunlap. Dimensions: 42" Height x 35.5" Width x 18" Depth.
Condition: Interior desk writing surface heavily stained and scratched from use. Exterior surface dull, scratched.
