2 volumes of Robert Riger football photos and associated magazine and newspaper articles. Roughly 30 photos from the 1955-1962 era. John Szarkowski, former director of the photography department at the Museum of Modern Art, said, "Riger’s photographs are documents, and the best of them are also pictures that now have a life of their own, and that would have given intense pleasure to George Stubbs and Winslow Homer and Thomas Eakins. Dimensions: 17" x14" portfolio with various sized photographs.
