Cream buckram with exquisite gilt lettering and Pre-Raphaelite cover designs; 369 pp. with 36 color, tipped-in plates with tissue covers, 34 black & white plates and numerous additional smaller black & white illustrations and decorations throughout. Decorative end papers following cover theme. With an introduction by Alice Meynell. illustrations by Harrison, one of the late Pre-Raphaelite illustrators who became a regular illustrator for Blackies, the famous Glasgow publisher.
Condition: Very good condition, tight binding, gilt top edge. 1 page loose
