Description
18th century Connecticut cherry two-part secretary from Colchester/New London. Top section with two well-carved raised paneled doors with compartments, fall front lid with fitted interior with drawers including fan carved and pigeon holes, three graduated case drawers on bold OG bracket feet. Fan on interior is identical to the Colchester school of cabinet makers (see Connecticut Vally Furniture by Kugelman, pp. 234 & 254). Dimensions: 6’10" Height x 36" Width x 17.5" Depth
Condition: Shrinkage cracks on lid, old brass, older surface
