Lot 86A:
Original WWII German Waffen SS combat worn belt and buckle. This style buckle was adopted for wear by EM/NCO personnel in late 1931 or early 1932. Marked on back SS 822/38. This was captured by the consignors grandfather who was in the 10th Mountain Division near Mt Belvedere, Italy in 1945. The Waffen SS raised a number of mountain infantry units with the 4th Edelweiss Mountain Battalion fighting at Mt Belvedere.
