Description
A Brig/Schooner painting under glass signed by the artist of a two mast, square rig ship with American flag with inscription “Bug Malay in Leghorn Roads, John Nicols Jr, Master Oct 16, 1833. Leghorn Roads is a roadstead (a sheltered body of water) located in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy. The artist Philip von Saltza (1885-1980) copied this painting from the original P. Massingski. Philip was widely known for painting post office murals as well as “First Flight of the Wright Brothers”. Dimensions: 19″ x 27,5 “
