Description

Amazing Original Museum Quality and quite Scarce 18th Century British Military Officers Carved Horn, leather and Brass Powder Flask measuring approximately 11.0 inches long with a 3.0 inch plug which is covered in finely stitched black leather. The Strait Cone shaped Carved Dark Horn extends approximately 4.5 inches from the leather and has a beautifully crafted Spring loaded Brass Spout with a finely polished horn stem with a Brass cap. on one side of the Spout is a Brass hinged fitting for a strap or belt hook. There is hand engraved Regimental markings on the trigger bar “H.R.I. C.25” and this very well could be a British Naval Piece. The Flask is Completely Untouched with Amazing Dark Patina, Nicely Carved Spout and correct metal hardware on the end cap. Just a Fabulous looking Powder Horn from top to bottom! We feel that this was made defiantly in the 18th century and quite possibly late Revolutionary War Era.

Condition report:

Condition is Very Good, a Solid Powder Horn with a single 2 inch age crack coming up from the leather cap and stopping 2.5 inches from the Brass Hardware. Other than that the condition is very Beautiful for its age and Rarity!
