Framed oil on canvas Hudson River scene signed lower left by Edmund Darch Lewis depicting a mountain range, cottage home and boat/ferry departing on the river. Edmund Darch Lewis was one of the most prolific and commercially successful American landscape painters of the late nineteenth century, rendering crisply realistic images of shorelines, waterways, and rural scenes in the northeast that received popular acclaim during his era.
