Framed and signed (most likely Kernan but somewhat illegible) of a shoe shine boy sleeping and being played with by two young friends. Joseph Francis Kernan (1878-1958), a magazine illustrator for forty years during the golden age of that art and saddled with the nickname “the poor man’s Norman Rockwell”.
